Position Summary
We are seeking a confident Team Player to undertake the efficient office admin and management of our Terminal's weighbridge function
The role will be based from our Terminal in Barking and will follow a general day shift pattern of work to include
. Operate weighbridge , recording all vehicles entering/leaving site
. Record weights and waste type by vehicle, completing appropriate documentation and collect driver signatures.
. Maintain the weighbridge and general area of the weighbridge including the office in a clean, tidy and hazard free condition
. Updating excel reports
. Issuing and maintaining the correct PPE requirements on site for staff and visitors whilst ensuring that H&S regulations are maintained.
. Support general administration duties and customer service, answering the telephone and directing calls as appropriate, booking visitors in/out, loading data and filing etc.
. Specific experience is not essential as you will receive training for the job role, however you should be highly PC literate and able to work with MI and data systems
Person Profile/Experience:
We are seeking a confident Team Player who is capable of being self-supportive when required
You will have a bright and confident telephone manner, a good sense of humour and will be able to remain calm under pressure
The successful candidate will be required to work alone at times and must be secure/confident in themselves to manage through these working periods as there will be direct contact with visiting drivers where you may need to instil the need for correct PPE being worn on the Terminal to ensure full compliance
Previous experience of working data entry and general administrative support essential
