As the public face of our countryside properties across West Dorset, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the properties, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.
Salary: £10.78 per hour
Contract/duration: Annualised fixed term until October 31st
Hours/working pattern: We anticipate 3 or 4 shifts of 7.5 hours per week plus extra to cover absences.
A full driving licence is required.
What it's like to work here:Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you’ll be part of a welcome team working across West Dorset. The role is based at Hive Beach, Burton Bradstock, with some regular days at Stonebarrow on the Golden Cap estate. The team also have an active presence across other National Trust locations in West Dorset such as Ringstead and Hardy Monument

What you'll be doing:Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be responsible for car park management, answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can.
Great visitor experiences are in our nature, and we believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the excellent service you provide. This role would suit anyone with a passion for delivering great customer service.
You'll be happy working alone, outdoors and on your feet in all weathers, and have a flexible attitude to moving between sites. We have an electric vehicle at Hive Beach for your use while traveling between sites.
You'll identify tasks, prioritise your time and check in with the team. You'll be conscientious and take pride in looking after the daily operation and presentation of the place you work each day.
