Are you the right person for the job?
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
- MIG or TIG Welding certifications
- Able to carry our manual handling
- Being time served as a Fabricator Apprentice is preferred
- Good communication skills
- Able to work well with a team
What will your role look like?
Your role will include, but not be limited to
- Preparing material for welding and fabricating, including cutting, grinding and measuring
- Operating welding equipment and tools to join pieces of metal structures according to specifications
- Inspecting welds for accuracy and quality
- Assembling and fitting structural steel components using bolts, clamps, and other fastening equipment
- Working with a range of steel, such as stainless and mild steel
- Interpreting drawings to determine the shape and size of pieces to be formed
- Maintaining and operating welding equipment following safety procedures
