Welder/Fabricator Supervisor
Type: Full-Time, Permanent Position
Marine Resources are currently seeking a skilled Supervisor to oversee a Welding/Fabricating team in Oundle, Northamptonshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with expertise in MIG/TIG welding and fabrication to oversee a busy team undertaking the maintenance of site facilities and the production of high-quality steel items for operations.
Key Team Responsibilities:
Routine and Breakdown Maintenance:
- Conduct routine and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Maintenance of trollies and mobile items.
- Painting and cleaning tasks.
Manufacture of Steel Items for Operations:
- Produce steel items essential for boat building operations, including trollies, racks, jigs, mould tools, sheds, and other structures.
Skills and Abilities:
Welding:
- Proficient in MIG/TIG welding techniques.
Reading of Drawings:
- Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings.
Basic Fabrication:
- Competent in basic fabrication tasks.
Mechanical Dexterity:
- Skillful handling of mechanical tasks.
Physical Fitness:
- Fit and able for manual labor.
Working at Height/Confined Spaces:
- Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.
Communication:
- Strong verbal communication skills.
Organizational Skills:
- Ability to work in a tidy and organized manner.
Independent Work:
- Capable of working without direct supervision.
Time Management:
- Effective time management skills, including working under time pressure.
Problem Solving:
- Initiative to identify and resolve problems.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Scissor lift license.
- Forklift license.
