Job description

Welder Fabricator

Woking

We are seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator proficient in Tig and Mig welding techniques to join our manufacturing team in Woking. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various metals and alloys, interpreting blueprints, and fabricating components to precise specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent manual dexterity, and a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Tig or Mig welding on a variety of metals including mild steel
  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications to fabricate components accurately.
  • Set up welding equipment, including gas tanks, welding torches, and power sources, ensuring proper settings for each job.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components using welding techniques and tools.
  • Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Operate other fabrication equipment such as shears, brakes, and saws as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to troubleshoot and solve fabrication issues.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and procedures, including wearing protective gear and maintaining welding equipment.
  • Complete all assigned tasks accurately and within specified timeframes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator, with expertise in Tig and Mig welding techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ability to operate welding equipment and tools effectively and safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in fabrication work.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
