SalaryJoin our client as Welding Inspection Engineer based in Reading and be part of a dynamic team driving excellence in engineering and maintenance across various industries. As a Welding Inspection Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained throughout their projects.
Responsibilities:
- Compile and review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality documentation.
- Provide technical support for projects and review vendor/supplier plans.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to compile LTQRs and SIS packs.
- Advise on welding quality requirements and coordinate inspection activities.
- Raise Continuous Improvement Forms (CIFs) and conduct quality audits.
- Maintain quality records and monitor performance against KPIs.
- Contribute to enhancing the Company's technical capabilities.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Mechanical background with QA/QC experience.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and relevant standards.
- Strong communication and report writing skills.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a regulated industry.
- CSWIP Level 2 (3.1 minimum) Welding Inspection certification.
- Additional certifications (e.g., Internal/Lead Auditor, PCN L2) desirable.
- Membership of relevant professional institutes desirable.
This is a site based, 12 month contract opportunity and the hourly rate for this will reflect the scope and significance of the client in their sector.
The nature of this opportunity means that you will be required to be Security Cleared prior to appointment so you must meet all the eligibility criteria to obtain UK Security Clearance.
