Wellbeing Physiologist

Location: Govan, Glasgow

Salary: Very Competitive + Excellent Benefits

Job Type: 6 month Fixed Term contract

The Client:

Our client's Healthcare Company is one of the UK's leading providers of occupational health services. Their clients include leading names across a wide range of sectors.

The Role:

As a Wellbeing Physiologist, you will be helping with the roll out of a new client project as well as Health Screening & Health Coaching. Candidate backgrounds may include sports science, sports therapists, nutritional experts, sports rehabilitators and exercise physiology. Some night work and weekend working may be required.

Duties:

-Conduct lifestyle clinical assessments of patients, considering their health profile and stage of behavior change.
-Provide evidence-based advice tailored to patients health profile, including adiposity, biochemistry, and blood screening results.
-Develop and implement written action plans based on treatment prescriptions, modifying them according to the patients stage of change.
-Set positive and realistic goals for patients and coach them to reach their full potential.
-Offer assistance and reassurance to clients during medical tests.
-Utilise specialised equipment to perform clinical physiological tests.
-Record and analyse physiological data for evaluation and monitoring purposes.


Requirements:

-Previously worked as a Physiologist or in a similar role.
-Previous experience in a sport, medical, health, wellbeing, or fitness environment is required.
-Must possess a degree or equivalent qualification in Sports Science/Health Science/Exercise Physiology/Sports Therapy.
-Academic background in subjects such as human physiology, exercise, biochemistry, anatomy/biomechanics, psychology, or nutrition is preferred.
