Job description

Closing Date: Monday 02 January 2023 Your expertise and passion for improving student mental health and wellbeing combined with a desire to tackle challenging issues, will be key to your success in this crucial role within the Student Wellbeing Service at the University of Brighton. As a key practitioner within the mental health and wellbeing team you will work with colleagues to respond to the University cause for concern escalation pathway, alongside holding a student case load.  You will also provide advice and guidance to our team of Student Support and Guidance Tutors in relation to complex or higher-risk students that they are supporting or aware of, and have the opportunity to work alongside our Disclosure Response Team, who respond to disclosures of harassment, hate crime, and sexual misconduct. To succeed in the role, you will possess the relevant skills, qualifications and experience to join a specialist multidisciplinary team of wellbeing practitioners.   You will work be comfortable and competent in risk management, safety-planning and decision making.   You will have experience of supporting team members to manage high-risk and complex presentations or situations would also be advantageous.   You will operate in a highly professional manner and build effective relationships across both the University and wider community, particularly with statutory and other support services.
