Job description

0.8 FTE (30 hours per week)

Based at the Northbrook, West Durrington campus.

This cross-departmental role will be required to contribute to and develop the planning and delivery of Widening Participation (WP) interventions to support the Access and Participation Plan (APP) and any externally funded activity supporting UniConnect and WP target groups.
? To monitor the success, retention and progression of our HE students, developing and delivering support interventions in consultation with curriculum areas and other college departments.
? To be responsible for the supervision of the Art & Design Club Coordinator.
? To be responsible for exploring external funding opportunities and developing collaborative community partnerships in West Sussex in
liaison with other college departments.
? To lead on and have responsibility for developing and updating the institution’s Care Leaver Covenant and be the institution’s lead
contact for NNECL.
? To be the main point of contact for Refugees and Asylum Seekers and Care Leavers progressing to HE both internally and externally.
? To be an institutional expert on the delivery of HE IAG and subject enhancement activities both internally and in targeted institutions in
line with the criteria outlined by the Office for Students.
? To have an in-depth professional knowledge of support services both internally and externally to be able signpost students and support students in times of need.
? Contribute to Widening Participation work at the college.
? To deputise for the Widening Participation Manager as required.
