The Scottish SPCA is looking to recruit a Wildlife Centre Manager for employment at our National Wildlife Rescue Centre, Fishcross.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of the thousands of abused, abandoned and injured animals rescued by the Scottish SPCA each year.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient running and performance of the National Wildlife Rescue Centre. This includes ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare, the production and management of the centre’s budget, staff recruitment, succession planning, employee engagement, knowledge, training, cleanliness and presentation are met and maintained.
Candidates will have a proven track record of management experience, excellent customer care skills, and the ability to lead and motivate staff. Strong IT skills, practical experience working with animals and a keen interest in animal welfare are also essential. A full UK manual driving licence is required.
The Employee’s normal hours of work are 37.5 hours per week by rota, between the hours of 6.30am and 11.30pm, working 10 days out of 14, to include weekends. You will be responsible for ensuring that there is always on-call night cover at the centre.
