Wind Turbine Technician
The Wind Turbine Technician will be responsible for the routine preventative maintenance of Wind Turbines, mechanical, electrical, gearbox and hydraulic systems. Unscheduled maintenance and carrying out retrofits along with emergency breakdowns and major component exchanges are also key responsibilities.
What you need to succeed
As a minimum you should have or be working towards: Relevant formal qualifications minimum SVQ/ NVQ level 3 (electrical, mechanical etc) and/or comprehensive experience in a relevant industry.
Ideally two years of hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical experience in an industrial environment e.g. wind farms, power stations, industrial process plant or similar heavy engineering maintenance environments.
You should have experience running repairs and planned maintenance with general plant and heavy vehicles from MEWPS, telehandlers through to HGV vehicles and low loader trailers.
Other essentials you need to have:
Valid driving licence
Pass a pre-employment medical and fitness test before a formal offer of employment is confirmed.
You will also need to provide the correct Right to Work documentation and relevant qualifications.
