This is an exciting role for an experienced Wine Waiter or Sommelier, with good wine knowledge, who seeks to be part of a restaurant team within a fine dining restaurant, supporting the Head Sommelier.
For the role of WINE WAITER/ Sommelier:
Do you have a passion for wine, cocktails, beers and beverage and have proven experience as WINE WAITER or a Sommelier in a premier environment? If so, we would love to hear from you.
As WINE WAITER / Sommelier, you will work as a key member of the Food and Beverage team, to maintain cellar stock and maximize sales across all beverage outlets including the fine dining Restaurants, Bar and Lounge.
You will demonstrate a flexible approach, equally happy to work in the bar and lounge, supporting afternoon tea, as well as sharing your expertise.
We are looking for a WINE WAITER/ Sommelier who will wow our client’s guests, demonstrating:
- A strong background working as a WINE WAITER or Sommelier in a fine dining / multi rosette awarded setting
- Excellent guest service skills with a background of exceeding guest expectations
- A passion for great wines accompanied by an appetite to build and share knowledge
- You will understand the workings of a well managed cellar and demonstrate great attention to detail
- Extensive experience and a strong understanding of wine pairing
- Excellent standard of written and spoken English
- An engaging personality, able to communicate at all levels
- Immaculate personal presentation
- Above all, flexibility, equally comfortable in all food & beverage outlets
The role may also require you to be flexible within the restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant Manager during service.
The salary for WINE WAITER / Sommelier is given as £COMPETITIVE - plus a share of the service charge. Live in is a possibility, however transport would be required if living out due to location.
