Summary of position

Our client is looking to take on a back-end developer to support their development agency and lead in-house development of their WordPress website. This truly is an exciting opportunity for a PHP developer to join a business that is growing and building an exceptional team to expand and deliver the best possible services.

We are looking for somebody that is motivated, loves coding, is passionate about their work and wants to progress their skillset and career.

Primary Responsibilities

• Working closely with our external development agency to improve website conversion rate, internal working processes and website performance
• Managing the development QA & testing process
• Support building A/B tests
• Website code documentation and standards
• Researching industry leading development techniques for future growth
• Person Specification
• A passion for problem-solving, web standards, and an eagerness to learn
• Attention to detail and highly organised
• An ability to work autonomously and manage your workload and deadlines effectively
• Excellent communication skills
• A readiness to embrace and use new approaches and to keep up-to-date with industry advances

Competencies

• Strong knowledge of back-end Wordpress development, PHP, JavaScript, HTML & CSS
• Understanding of hosting, git, security, and APIs
• Ability to output clean, commented, and team-friendly code and work collaboratively
• Testing & QA processes
• BSc in Computer Science, Programming or a related field

Location

Alcester, Warwickshire

Salary

Depending on experience 35,000 - 45,000 + Excellent benefits
