Job Title:Work Placement Administrator

Salary:NSG Business Support Contract, Term Time Only (40 Weeks), Permanent

Contract:Business Support, Fixed Point , £15,303 (actual salary) per annum

Hours:30 hours per week

Pension:NEST Pension Scheme


About the College

  • Middlesbrough College is the largest General Further Education College in the Tees Valley and has been situated in Middlehaven, Middlesbrough, since 2008. It has developed from the initial main site to the vibrant campus that is now in place with our Campus Heart, dedicated Sixth Form, STEM Centre, Higher Education Centre, and further development for our apprentices in progress.

About the role

The Work Placement Administrator will join the Work Placement team to complete general administration duties and work closely with directorate areas.

The successful candidate will have:

Qualifications

  • Secretarial or Administration qualifications at Level 2/3 (or to be working towards if the candidate is an Apprentice).
  • Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).

Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent word processing skills.
  • A high degree of IT literacy, particularly in the use of spread sheets and database packages.
  • Good range of administrative/filing skills.
  • Ability to prioritise at all times and work under pressure.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a wide range of people (students and staff).
  • Awareness and commitment to College’s Equality and Diversity Ethos.
  • Team player and flexible approach to working pattern at all times.
  • Confident and friendly attitude.
  • Flexibility in terms of working day (some evening work may be necessary).
  • Commitment to excellence.
  • An interest and commitment to development of IT practices within the office – Desirable.
  • An interest and commitment to quality standards – Desirable.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working in a busy office environment.
  • Experience of working in an educational environment – Desirable.
