Job description

Join our vibrant Work Experience Team at Peterborough College. The successful candidate will provide a full and comprehensive administrative support to the Work Placement Team across Peterborough Campus in supporting learners undertaking high quality, structured and outcome focused Work Placements across curriculum. The successful candidate will be responsible for updating college systems ensuring information held for employers is up to date and accurate, supporting learners to be able to undertake external placements.
The Work Placement Administrator will be responsible for administering financial assistance to learners in line with the College and funding policy.
The main duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following areas:
Administer the forms for the allocation of monies to Industry and T level students ensuring compliance with College and Funding policy.
Administer the reporting and claiming of financial assistance from the CDF Bursary funds, entering details in the college systems as required.
Arrange the procurement of course equipment and uniforms for Industry and T level students who have applied for financial support, liaising with the Work Placement Coaches to ensure learners have received the appropriate resources to undertake their placements.
Track and monitor Industry Placement and T level learners reviews ensuring that they are completed accurately in a timely manner and with any cancellations recorded in order to comply policy requirements.
Liaise with Work Placement Coaches to arrange Employer Health and Safety Risk Assessments to ensure that they are undertaken and current prior to a learner commencing an external placement.
Update College systems with Employers Health and Safety Risk Assessment information and associated insurances in line with College policy.
Monitor learner engagement and feedback from placement, producing reports for the Work Placement Team Leader.
Maintain the College’s systems including Connect with employer and learner information and produce management reports as required.
Coordinate learners Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) application prior to submitting to Human Resources to submit for application.Monitor the completion of DBS checks, ensuring that no learner is placed prior to receiving a satisfactory DBS prior to commencement of placements.
