Workday Technical Systems Analyst
We are seeking a Workday Technical Systems Analyst to join a leading software company in Central London. Reporting to the Head of Data and Systems, you will play a key role in the maintenance and support of Workday technical aspects, including integrations, security, and reporting.
Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 per annum plus excellent benefits
Location: This is a hybrid role, with the expectation of 2 days per week in the London office (or you can be based in Cambridge if more convenient).
Requirements for Workday Technical Systems Analyst:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field, or have an equivalent combination of training and work experience.
- Solid experience in a systems administration role
- Strong experience specifically using workday - essential
- Skilled in crafting and executing ETL processes using dedicated tools.
- Able to effectively liaise with third parties regarding data-related inquiries.
- Extensive proficiency in interface, networking, and data warehousing technologies, alongside relational database technologies and performance tuning.
- Experienced in utilising Web Services and APIs (WSDL, SOAP, REST, and WS standards), with a robust technical background in XML and Java.
- Familiarity with Workday implementation tools including Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Workday Report Writer, and iLoad.
- Understanding of fundamental database architecture, tables, functional interactions, and their impacts on downstream systems.
- Working knowledge of HR/Finance information systems, data models, organisational structures, and roles.
- Solid comprehension of Workday security features and controls.
- Proficient in Workday HCM and Finance report writing, encompassing advanced Workday Report Writer and Calculated Fields.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment, adept at managing both planned and unplanned tasks.
- Skilled in prioritising workload and autonomously executing tasks
Responsibilities for Workday Technical Systems Analyst:
- Manage system integrations within HR/Finance architecture and middleware.
- Support Workday inbound/outbound integration issues, including changes and new developments.
- Conduct routine support, regression testing, and interface maintenance.
- Ensure data and application accuracy through analysis and resolution.
- Translate functional specifications into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, and test interfaces
- Configure and maintain Workday application security.
- Coordinate with vendors for technology updates.
- Stay updated on new security features and implement relevant changes.
- Perform audits on system roles and access logs.
- Develop and maintain Workday reports with functional experts.
- Support existing custom reports.
- Document report functions for maintenance.
- Participate in report reviews for security and privacy compliance.
- Analyse reporting impacts from system updates and recommend changes.
