About the role:
The Workforce Skills and Career Pathways Officer for the 'Routes to Work' project will play a crucial role in analysing and assessing the skills of the workforce. A key focus of the role will be to target occupations skills shortage areas by identifying skills pathway practice and occupational skills gaps, developing strategies for skills development and creating clear Career Pathways and initiatives that meet current skills gaps and future workforce needs.

What you will do:
- Lead, manage, motivate, and ensure that the project is delivered effectively, efficiently and that key milestones are met to ensure compliance with the Project Delivery Plan.
- Manage communications and active engagement with staff and stakeholders to deliver the project effectively.
- Develop partnership arrangements across the Council and with key stakeholders and partners to foster effective joint working to improve outcomes.
- Prepare and present reports on project status, in order to provide accurate and clear information to the funding body, local partnerships, stakeholders, elected members, heads of service and senior managers.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of best practice in the provision of Career Pathways/development and to disseminate information and implement good practice.
