What is the role?
Manchester Council are looking to appoint a Workplace Adjustments Case Worker tosupport a new service, ‘The Workplace Adjustment Hub’. This service provides support, advice, and guidance on reasonable Workplace Adjustments, ensuring effective support for Council employees to thrive.
In this role, you will provide key support in the delivery of Workplace Adjustment risk assessments and advising, support, and guide Managers throughout the process.

How can you help?
- Coordinate the procurement of adaptive equipment, software, and/or specialist support to meet the adjustment needs of clients and employees.
- Work with internal services including ICT, Estates, and Health and Safety on behalf of employees to ensure timely delivery of adjustments.
- Advise managers on the implementation of completed Workplace Adjustments, engaging with stakeholders, and encouraging evaluation of effectiveness once in place.
What experience do you need?
- Ideally, you will have experience working in areas such as Occupational Health and Safety, Human Resources, Assessment & Support for Disabled Adults, Employee Welfare, and/or Social Work.
- An understanding of workplace adjustment processes, the social model of disability, and ability to recognise the barriers employees can experience in the workplace.
- Strong communications skills to ensure effective support of both employees and their managers in reaching solutions and promoting best practice across the Council.
