Workshop Controller

Vehicle Workshop Controller required in Yate, South Gloucestershire.

• Starting salary up to £30,000 per annum pending qualifications with £3,000+ uncapped annual bonus potential.
• 8am-6pm Monday to Friday with 1 in 2 Saturdays 8:00am-1:00pm.

Our client, a franchise car dealer group based in Yate, South Gloucestershire, are currently looking to hire a Workshop Controller their busy dealership.
Reporting to the Service Manager and accountable for a team of Vehicle Technicians, as a Workshop Controller you will be responsible for running the day-to-day function of the Service Department, allocating work, motivating and supervising the team in the workshop and for ensuring safety, standards & efficiency by the Vehicle Technicians each day. You will work closely with our client's Service Advisors to ensure all works booked in are achievable and planned to meet customer expectation, industry standards and Vehicle Technician workflow.
In order to be eligible, you will ideally live within a reasonable commuting distance to the Yate area and will need to have a proven track record in running a successful automotive workshop for the past three years, ideally within a franchise approved car dealership. Overall you will have excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills and team orientation, be results orientated, have problem solving and decision making skills, put a focus on quality and reliability, and be IT literate. You will also need to have a UK driving license with minimal points.
