Are you a motivated and experienced Workshop Controller/manager or do you consider yourself a automative expert? if you think are i have the role for you. I am looking for a dynamic and well-established automotive provider. The role i have is located in Edenbridge, Kent and i would be looking for someone who would be willing to travel to different sites around the Kent area.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of technicians, ensuring a positive and productive working environment.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to enhance the skills and performance of workshop staff.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Workshop Operations:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient and timely completion of all tasks.
- Schedule and prioritize jobs to maximize workshop capacity and meet customer deadlines.
- Monitor and maintain high-quality work standards to meet company and industry regulations.
Customer Service:
- Interact with customers to understand their vehicle service needs and address any concerns.
- Ensure excellent customer service through effective communication and resolution of issues.
- Strive to exceed customer expectations in terms of service quality and turnaround times.
Inventory Management:
- Manage workshop inventory, including ordering and maintaining necessary parts and supplies.
- Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize resources.
Health and Safety:
- Uphold and enforce health and safety standards within the workshop.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to ensure a secure working environment.
Budget Management:
- Work closely with the management team to develop and adhere to the workshop budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and service standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a workshop management role within the automotive industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes and industry best practices.
- Proficient in using workshop management software and other relevant tools.
