Workshop Manager/Workshop Manager

Edenbridge

Up to 40,000

Full-Time, Permanent

Are you a motivated and experienced Workshop Controller/manager or do you consider yourself a automative expert? if you think are i have the role for you. I am looking for a dynamic and well-established automotive provider. The role i have is located in Edenbridge, Kent and i would be looking for someone who would be willing to travel to different sites around the Kent area.

Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership:

    • Lead and manage a team of technicians, ensuring a positive and productive working environment.
    • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to enhance the skills and performance of workshop staff.
    • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  2. Workshop Operations:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient and timely completion of all tasks.
    • Schedule and prioritize jobs to maximize workshop capacity and meet customer deadlines.
    • Monitor and maintain high-quality work standards to meet company and industry regulations.
  3. Customer Service:

    • Interact with customers to understand their vehicle service needs and address any concerns.
    • Ensure excellent customer service through effective communication and resolution of issues.
    • Strive to exceed customer expectations in terms of service quality and turnaround times.
  4. Inventory Management:

    • Manage workshop inventory, including ordering and maintaining necessary parts and supplies.
    • Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  5. Health and Safety:

    • Uphold and enforce health and safety standards within the workshop.
    • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to ensure a secure working environment.
  6. Budget Management:

    • Work closely with the management team to develop and adhere to the workshop budget.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and service standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in a workshop management role within the automotive industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair processes and industry best practices.
  • Proficient in using workshop management software and other relevant tools.
