Workshop Engineer

Kelly Services are looking for a Workshop Engineer to join our expanding and forward thinking client on a full-time, permanent position based in Loughborough.

Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP38,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm

The Role

As a Workshop Engineer, your role will involve servicing and preventative maintenance work on fuel based and electric equipment and subsequent repair work to our client's equipment. Day to day duties include:

• Servicing, preventative maintenance and repair of both company owned and customer forklift truck ensuring unscheduled repairs are minimised.
• Thorough examination inspection
• Overhaul of used equipment ready for sale, including painting.
• Completion of documentation to company standards
• Work within Health & Safety requirements at all times
• Be computer literate

Skills & Experience

• In-depth mechanical and electrical experience including strong diagnosis and repair skills
• Mechanical apprenticeship or City & Guilds level 2 & 3
• Experience in a similar role
• Experience of hydraulics and electrical equipment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise in a clear and concise way
• A flexible and helpful attitude to work To be able to work as part of a team or off of your own initiative
