Workshop Fitter - Havant
Salary £30,000
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Norse South East have an excellent opportunity for a Workshop Plant Fitter to work at our depot on Penner Road in Havant. This position is being offered on a full time, permanent contract working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The role
As Workshop Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the upkeep and servicing of our company's diverse fleet, you will need to be experienced within vehicle repairs, maintaining plant and machinery maintenance within a workshop environment. Alongside this you will;
- Carry out pre and post defects and inspections.
- Ensure all vehicles are safe and certify roadworthiness.
- Work alongside other members of the workshop team to ensure high customer satisfaction is achieved.
- Adhere to Health and Safety at all times.
- Attend breakdowns when required.
- Meet required deadlines and report into the Workshop Manager.
Our ideal candidate
- City & Guilds Part 3 in motor vehicles studies or equivalent.
- Category C+E Driving Licence.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance standards required for HGV operation.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety and its impact in vehicle repair operations.
- Experience in the inspection, repair and maintenance of all types of large and small commercial vehicles.
