AddressAs a Workshop Foreman you will service and repair our full range of power generation equipment; maintaining the quality, safety, reliability and availability of hire stock in a cost-effective manner. You will also manage the costings, quantities and availability of spares and consumables for the depot.
In this role you will take responsibility for the routine service and maintenance of generators and ancillaries and ensure maximum workshop productivity in line with company targets. Additionally, you will attend weekly meetings and uphold regular communication with your colleagues in the wider business.
Overall, your main duties will be to:
- Lead, coach and motivate a team of Depot Engineers and Yard Operatives to ensure the best level of internal and external customer service is provided, whilst regularly reviewing their performance and development needs.
- Support with breakdowns as necessary and via the call-out rota using your designated service vehicle.
- Promote teamwork between colleagues across the depots, to ensure productive delivery of an effective workshop performance.
- Upkeep workshop administration to a high level, host Toolbox Talks and Technical Bulletin meetings with the team to ensure important notices are relayed.
- Plan, organise and manage the workshop to meet the required business and customer requirements for products and equipment.
- Ensure offline value is kept to a minimum, working through major repairs and check & test procedures in a timely manner.
You will be provided with full workwear and PPE as well as a company service vehicle. You will be provided with a full induction on entry to your new position, which will cover everything from health and safety to the ins and outs of your new role.
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have experience in maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment, great communication skills, and manual handling awareness skills.
Experience working on generators is advantageous and a mechanical background would be favourable.
Foreman experience and a full driving licence is required for consideration with this role.
