Working on behalf of our client, a specialist supplier of the aircraft industry, we are looking to recruit an Workshop Supervisor to support and lead a team.
The job:
- Support the Workshop Manager to review workloads, resources and tooling to ensure sufficient capabilities are in place to meet demands.
- Lead the shop floor team in Unit 2, covering shift patterns, as required.
- Co-ordinate allocation of Workshop resources to meet demands and training requirements.
- Review technical data and job work-scope to assess labour hours and resource allocation required.
- Review BOMs/material requirements and raise parts requests as required.
- Raise design queries and action engineering changes and deal with queries across all unit 2 workshops: ensuring accurate implementation.
- To review requirement for overtime and manage holidays for allocated Workshop personnel, providing staff hours data for Planning and capacity reviews.
- Carry out appraisals and disciplinary processes to stages as defined with HR/Workshop Manager.
- Deputise for the Workshop Manager at Interiors meetings; and attend Project review/launch meetings as Workshop representative.
About you:
- Must possess strong Leadership, team-working & interpersonal skills.
- Able to lead major special projects/development projects; effectively liaising with Project/Design teams to meet deadlines and improve seat design/quality.
- Have the flexibility to work overtime when required.
- Preferable to have working knowledge of ERP systems.
- Have knowledge of lean management.
- Have knowledge of KPI’s.
- Good understanding of kaizen and how to reinforce it within the workshop.
- Competent with Microsoft office and able to communicate using internal emails.
- To be able to prioritise workloads and assess allocation of resources.
