Xyz Cnc Machinist

Express Recruitment is delighted to be working alongside a long-standing engineering company who are currently seeking a talented XYZ CNC Machinist to join their machining department, as a result of continued company growth.  

You will be contracted to 39 hours per week, working 7am-4pm Monday to Thursday & 7am to 12pm on Friday. You will also receive a basic salary of up to £40,000, depending on experience.  

Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate and set a selection of XYZ machinery including 750 LR VMC, RMX 4000 BED MILL & RLX 425 Lathe, using Protrak and Siemens controls  
• Perform routine fault finding and maintenance on all CNC machinery, to ensure housekeeping standards are maintained and breakdowns occurrence is minimised  
• Action tool changes and adjust speed movements for each batch 
• Work with a range of mild and stainless-steel materials  
• Adhere to Lean processes to reduce waste and minimise downtime 
• Read and interpret technical specifications/drawings   

Skills & Experience

• Proven knowledge working with XYZ CNC machinery and Protrak controls essential 
• Experience working with Siemens controls desirable  
• Conventional turning and milling experience  
• Offline programming experience advantageous  
• Experience working with stainless steel
