Job description

Manpower invites applications for our client's position of Yard Operative to bolster their dynamic team in Donaghcloney.
About our Client
Our client is a leading distributor and manufacturer of an extensive range of chemical products catering to diverse industries across the UK and Ireland. Their product portfolio spans Agri-food, building, detergent/hygiene, metal treatment, textiles, and water treatment.
Job Details
The chosen candidate will be stationed at CCS's Donaghcloney location, operating within a Monday to Thursday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm, with Fridays concluding at 4 pm.
Responsibilities
As a Yard Operative, your duties will encompass a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of our operations, including but not limited to:


  • Forklift Driving: Proficiently operate forklifts to transport materials and products within the yard.
  • Warehousing: Manage and organise inventory within the warehouse to optimise efficiency.
  • Loading/Unloading Lorries: Safely load and unload goods onto/from lorries.
  • Assembling Goods: Contribute to the assembly of products as per operational requirements.
  • Chemical Mixing/Blending: Follow set formulations to mix and blend chemicals accurately.
  • Labelling, Filling, and Packing: Handle the meticulous labelling, filling, and packing of various hazardous chemicals into containers.
  • General Upkeep of Facilities: Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities to uphold safety standards.
  • Other Jobs as Requested: Undertake additional tasks as assigned to support overall organisational objectives.


  • Requirements
    To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:


  • Forklift License Preferred: While a forklift license is preferred, we are open to providing training for the right candidate.
  • Punctuality: Demonstrate good timekeeping skills.
  • Reliability: Exhibit a reliable and consistent work ethic.
  • Basic English and Maths Skills: Possess fundamental English and maths proficiency.
  • Initiative: Capable of working independently and taking initiative when required.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration within the team.
