Form of workWe have a fantastic opportunity to work with our client in Kidlington who is seeking a full time, Yard Person. They are looking for a strong and capable individual to help streamline their loading and unloading process.

- Salary: £11.68 per hour PAYE adv
- Job Type: Contract role – potential for Full Time Permanent
- Hours: Monday to Friday 0700-1700 hours
The Company is based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire and is currently recruiting a Yard Person to join their busy team.
This is an interesting and varied role that combines hands-on logistics work, working Monday to Friday . Whilst working for Drive Hire Oxford the hourly pay rate will be £11.68 PAYE Adv paid weekly.
Job Duties:
- Working in the yard, doing general yard duties
- Actively serving both trade and retail customers
- Picking goods required by customers in the yard and helping load customer vehicles.
- Liaising with transport to pick stock for customer deliveries to site
- Making sure the yard is clean, tidy and a safe place for staff, customers and visiting members of the public
- Carrying out daily checks on forklift trucks, skid steer loaders, telehandlers and other loading equipment
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant Yard experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- A professional attitude is essential together with good written and verbal communication skills and a keen eye for detail
- The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team and be able to follow set process closely after relevant onsite training
