This role offers the unique opportunity to teach a small and lovely class of 21 students, with the support of two teaching assistants, ensuring a nurturing and effective learning environment. Our school prides itself on maintaining small class sizes, with a maximum of 23 students, to provide personalized and focused education. We are looking for a more qualified teacher who values the chance to work closely with each student and is passionate about fostering a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Role Purpose:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the curriculum requirements and cater to the diverse needs of all students.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on the progress of students, providing feedback to support their development and preparing them for future educational milestones.
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and orderly classroom environment, implementing effective classroom management strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants to maximize their impact on teaching and learning within the classroom.
  • Engage in collaborative planning as part of the federation, significantly reducing individual planning time while ensuring a cohesive educational approach.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues, building strong partnerships to support student learning and well-being.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school and federation's continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification recognized in the UK.
  • Experience teaching at the primary level, with a preference for candidates who have taught Year 3 or similar age groups.
  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity for building relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to professional development and a desire to contribute to the wider school community.

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to work with a small, lovely class with maximum support, including two teaching assistants.
  • Reduced planning time due to federation-wide collaborative planning, allowing for a better work-life balance.
  • PPA time allocated to support planning and assessment duties.
  • Work in a school that values small class sizes and fosters a strong learning environment.
  • Join a community where children have a genuine desire to learn and where education is highly valued.
