We’ve got an exciting opportunity for somebody enthuisatic to work with young people to join our vibrant team as a Youth Development Lead! This role will focusing on our Emplyability offer for the West of Scotland. If you are successful in your application you will be invited to an Assessment Centre which will be from 10am - 3pm.
You will join one of our Employability Programmes in Glasgow. Our Employability Programme improves Young People's employability and specific skills they need to help them succeed in the workplace, increasing their chances of obtaining a job offer! These tailored programmes support young people in removing barriers to achieving their goals.
What does a Youth Development Lead do?
As a Youth Development Lead (YDL), you will be at the heart of our Delivery Team. Each day is different and there are always exciting projects for you to get involved in! Your day-to-day activities to make an impact will include:
- Reporting any safeguarding concerns for young people on your caseload. This includes completing complex risk assessments, liaising with external agencies, and producing safeguarding reports.
- Attracting, engaging and onboarding young people onto the course through social media, job centres, working with community groups, job fairs and local outreach events.
- Writing, developing, and delivering employability sessions in collaboration with Delivery Partners, both face-to-face and virtually (using MS Teams).
- Developing quality relationships with young people, volunteers, and delivery partners to thrive in both team and independent work.
