About the role
This specialist school is working with Vision for Education to recruit a patient and passionate Youth Behaviour Mentor. This is a full time/long term role, meaning the appointed Youth Behaviour Mentor will be working Monday to Friday between the hours 08:30 to 16:30. Throughout the role of a Youth Behaviour Mentor, you will be supporting children and young people who have complex needs with their ever day school life. This can be working in small groups, working on a 1:1 basis and assisting with break and lunch time supervision.

This SEND school, located in Sunderland, supports children and young people who have complex needs such as Challenging Behaviours, Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH), Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Youth Behaviour Mentor you will:
- Must have enhanced DBS registered on the update service/ be willing to go through the DBS process if do not already hold certificate
- Must have experience working with SEND pupils
- Must be kind, caring and compassionate
