To work as part of the Education team within Prevention and Partnerships. Responsible for delivering the education packages that align with Serious Violence. The role will include coordinating and facilitating the ‘The Happening’ Knife Crime initiative which is a new immersive experience seeking to educate young people around the risks, pressures and consequences of knife enabled offences.
The post holder will be responsible for three distinctive strands of our Youth Engagement strategy, Creation and Development, Delivery and Co-ordination.
Primarily the role will require you to work with police and partners to create, develop and deliver countywide education workshops to primary, secondary and additional needs settings. You will also deliver within the immersive education experience at Sleaford to young people ages 9-18 years. The post holder will also be responsible for delivery and training to parents and education groups dependant on levels of need. The message has to be relevant, consistent and engaging, helping to impact the lives of young people across Lincolnshire.
You will work within the Youth Education team and link in with the police cadets, neighbourhood policing teams and educational establishments across the county to gain a full understanding of how the other educational products are being delivered throughout Lincolnshire.
The role will work with the Chief Constables vision for Lincolnshire Police and all staff involved in carrying out functions in accordance with the code of ethics. The aim of the code of ethics is to encourage personal responsibility and the exercise of professional judgement; empowering everyone in policing to do the right thing.
Shift pattern
The standard shift pattern for the role is shown, however flexible working patterns will be considered on a full and part-time basis. Applications will be considered on an individual basis and all requests must meet the organisational need as well as individual need, which can be determined with the successful applicant.
