TiPP is seeking a creative and organised individual to join our core team in a key role producing our Youth Music funded Youth Justice programme.
TiPP has a formidable reputation for its arts-based interventions with Youth Justice services across the region. We run weekly sessions across Manchester and diversionary activities during school holidays across the region. As well as continuing to strengthen the work that is already happening, the next phase of the project sees us developing deeper relationships in Rochdale, offering bespoke activities that meet the needs of the young people and complement existing provision.
The Youth Justice Producer will report to the Projects Director and be leading and working alongside our talented and diverse pool of freelance artists to deliver sessions. They will also collaborate with staff from within the Youth Justice sector.
The project has music at its core but includes a range of art forms. The Youth Justice Producer will determine the creative direction of the project as well as being responsible for project management and administration.
We envisage the postholder will have a weekly presence in TiPP’s office at University of Manchester and be at weekly sessions in Manchester and Rochdale. They will also attend activities across the region during school holidays. The post will include some twilight sessional work but will not usually include weekends.
TiPP has a strong commitment to safeguarding and this post will have a significant role within that. Appointment will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
