Job description

With a strong focus on the delivery of youth work programmes and activities, FireFit Youth & Community Hub is dedicated to creating a vibrant and supportive community for young people aged 6-19. The Youth Manager is an integral part of the Hub’s Leadership Team, driving the delivery of impactful youth programmes.

This is an important role in which you will:

  • Lead and implement a diverse youth work program, addressing the specific needs of children and young people.
  • Champion youth voice integration in project design, delivery, and evaluation, ensuring the active participation of young people.
  • Effectively manage budgets to align with evolving youth needs, overseeing the delivery of programs, including Duke of Edinburgh Awards, targeted initiatives, outreach, and social action.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Proven experience in managing youth programmes, demonstrating a strong commitment to positive impact and outcomes.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop a youth team, fostering an inclusive and engaging atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards, safeguarding procedures, and risk assessments for youth activities.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems for capturing and analysing the impact and engagement of youth programs.
