Youth Support Worker

Apple A Day are seeking a Youth Support Workerfor a dynamic charity (Registration Number (phone number removed who are committed to supporting communities across Wiltshire and Swindon. They aspire to create brighter futures for those living and working in the Wiltshire community and pride themselves on their ethos of putting people at the heart of everything they do.

Their highly successful employment programmes support people who are furthest from the labour market with multiple barriers and challenges in their lives and helps them progress into and sustain training, education, and employment outcomes.

Purpose of the role:

• To support participants in Wiltshire referred onto the Building Bridges programme who are furthest from the labour market with significant barriers and challenges and help them progress into and sustain training, education and employment.

What is required from you:

• Managing a case load of 18-25 year olds, providing practical and emotional support and advocating on their behalf as needed.
• Carrying out needs assessments and developing individualised engagement plans to address barriers.
• Through one-to-one support and a range of group development activities, increase participants' confidence, self-esteem, skills and resilience to help them achieve their identified education and employment goals.

As this position is dependent on funding, it is a temporary role starting ASAP until March'25. Whilst it is advertised as full-time (36.5 hours per week), part-time hours will be considered, and you will be based at offices in Devizes but will be required to travel to locations around Wiltshire.
