Zone Manager - Commercial Vehicle Sales

A Zone Managerwith Commercial Vehicle Sales experience is required to support Commercial Vehicle Sales for key vehicle manufacturer, supporting their dealer network in the Northwest of England / Scotland / Northern Ireland. This role is employed by an established fleet consultancy business with a strong pedigree of providing outsource programmes to the industry.

Our ideal candidate will combine experience in dealer development, Commercial Vehicles and an analytical way of thinking with the ability to present data to dealers in a meaningful way.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a brand leader in the area of fleet whilst also working alongside a major vehicle manufacturer. This role will involve regular travel throughout the Northwest of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, with the remainder of time working from home.

Ideal locations - Manchester, Oldham, Stockport, Bolton, Rochadale, Huddersfield, Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield, Wigan, Liverpool, Burnley, Blackburn

The Role

  • Agree Annual Commercial Vehicle Sales Objectives with dealers in line with national objectives.
  • Support dealers to drive sales, profitability and class leading customer service.
  • Gain dealer acceptance to monthly CV wholesales, provide sales channel mix and guidance to minimise stock ageing and ensure effective dealer inventory management.
  • Work with dealers to achieve monthly and quarterly CV Sales objectives.
  • Monitor run rates and work with dealer to address gaps as required.
  • Identify and put plans in place to address dealer performance issues.
  • Utilise Client reporting tools to identify sales opportunities.
  • Drive strong marketing and event activity via the National 'Marketing Plan' process.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts.
  • Monitor mystery shop performance and address any issues and concerns.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and inspire your dealers to do the same.
  • Ensure central communications are quickly understood and actioned.
  • Understand sales process and structure, develop plans to improve efficiency where required, using data analytics to drive results and make informed decisions.

The Candidate

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous sales management experience would be advantageous as well as proven ability to deliver monthly sales objectives.
  • Ability to connect and form productive relationships with all levels of a franchised Commercial Vehicle dealer & the vehicle manufacturer.
  • A self-starter, motivated to work remotely to agreed Objectives and KPI's.
  • An experienced and competent user of Microsoft EXCEL.
  • Proficient other Microsoft applications: Access, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
