Part time: 0.5 FTE (18.5 hrs per week) Job Description Bath School of Music and Performance is seeking a Teaching Fellow in Acting with a specialism in Screen Acting for its BA Acting Degree. This role is part time and would be suitable for professionals or experienced practitioners with a passion to train the next generation of actors. About the Role As a Teaching Fellow in Acting, you will deliver engaging lectures, practical sessions, seminars, discussions, demonstrations, workshops, and tutorials as part of our established program. Your responsibilities will include marking associated assessments, participating in required assessments, and contributing to syllabus planning for relevant modules. You will maintain a high level of subject expertise, continuously reflecting on teaching practices, and actively contribute to your own professional development. About You You will hold a strong first degree in a relevant discipline, possess experience in actor training, and have a professional background as an actor in Film and TV. Demonstrating a deep understanding of acting training and performance in Film and TV is essential, as is showing the ability in leading workshop classes using basic technical equipment such as cameras and monitors. Excellent communication skills tailored to a diverse undergraduate audience, along with the ability to excel within a small team, will be vital. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate excellent self-management with limited supervision, strong organisational skills and proficiency in IT. You will also be fully dedicated to student-centred teaching, highly adaptable, and have a positive attitude towards change.
