Are you a very special person with warmth, kindness, patience, empathy and sympathy who can maintain boundaries for a key stage 1 child with SEMH?
Future teachers warmly welcome to apply.
We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who will support a child on a 1:1 basis who is currently in Key Stage 1. They will also support the class teacher in the performance of general duties and supporting children with SEND. You will be enthusiastic in your approach and will seek to provide the opportunities for the child to achieve their full potential, both academically and socially. Your superpowers will be in your warmth, kindness and sympathy, building relationships whilst maintaining boundaries.
You will have a calm, patient disposition and will be able to respond positively to the challenges of working with children. You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to helping children achieve their potential in a fun and creative environment.
Ideally you will have experience of working with children or young people in a similar environment. These would be an ideal position for someone considering going into teaching as a career. Even better if you have training in managing and de-escalating emotional responses and behaviour.
