Harewood C of E Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative 1:1 Learning Support Assistant for a pupil with physical and developmental delay.
Your role will be to support the pupil 1:1 to enable them to access their curriculum and reach their full potential. Whilst working in the classroom setting there will also be opportunities to support other children within the class. This is a varied role that will require flexibility and a positive attitude.
Starting after the Easter break, this is a full-time role but could also work as a part time job or a job share for the right candidate(s). It will initially run until the end of this school year but with a view to extending the post for another year at this point.
As the post is mainly to provide 1:1 support for a child, the position is also dependent on the child remaining at the school and funding remaining in place.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to make a difference to a pupil’s experience of education. The successful candidate will be required to work with a pupil who is currently in Year 5. She is a delight to work with, positive and keen to be part of all of school life. Whilst the role is specifically to support 1:1 there will also be opportunities to work more widely within the classes.
