1:1 Ta In Reception

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

One of our primary schools in Kirkby is currently looking for a number of teaching assistants to support new pupils from September within their Early years foundation stage. The roles will be full time until December 2024 initially, but will potentially be for the full academic year.

This role offers immense fulfilment, and while prior experience is a school setting is preferred, it is not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Providing support to special educational needs children on a 1 to 1 basis or in a group setting
• Ensuring pupils stay on task by supporting them with any additional needs.
• Assisting the teacher in planning engaging lessons for the class in line with school policies
• Liaising with the class teacher and parents to provide the best support

Requirements

• Previous experience in a school environment with SEND pupils is desirable but not essential
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Immediate availability for full-time, long-term commitment
• Possession of an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Legal right to work in the UK
• Comprehensive CV detailing your education and employment history for the past 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps

Qualifications are not essential but are desirable.
