anzuk Education is proud to be partnered with an inspiring and welcoming secondary school based in Merstham, Surrey dedicated to providing education for young people with Learning and Additional Needs. They are looking for a caring 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a team of highly experienced and committed teachers on a full-time contract (Mon-Fri), starting after Easter 2024. They work tirelessly to ensure each students success, by implementing exciting lessons tailored to every students' individual needs. Their aim is to enable better long-term outcomes for all students, as they prepare for adulthood and future employment. The Role: Provide one-to-one support to students with Special Education Needs, including those with learning difficulties, behavioural challenges and/or physical disabilities. Encourage students to interact with peers and engage in activities led by the teacher. As a SEND Teaching Assistant you will assist in the development of appropriate resources and materials to support the learning needs of SEND students Monitor and help to record the progress and achievements of SEND students, reporting to the SENCo and parents where necessary Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the social and emotional well-being of all students Daily rate of pay starting at £90 per day Requirements: Experience working with children with SEND is desirable Willingness to undertake training in order to meet more complex cognitive, emotional and physical needs Demonstrated ability to show patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the development of SEND students Basic numeracy and literacy e.g. through GCSE qualification in English and Maths Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues and parents How to apply: To apply for our 1:1 Teaching Assistant role, please submit your CV by clicking the Apply button now.
