A wonderful new opportunity is now available for an enthusiastic and technically minded Network & WiFi Engineer with strong WAN, LAN and cabling experience to join a fast-growing internet connectivity and WiFi company with a UK-wide footprint.
Our client is a small but perfectly formed temporary internet connectivity company who supply services to a wide range of events, businesses and construction sites.
They work across a diverse range of client sites from the Reading Festival, through to I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and HS2.

In the last 18 months they have experienced significant growth in demand for their expertise and are now in the process of expanding their range of services and the size of events they provide those services to.
They are privately owned and small enough for anyone working with them to really make an impact on the business and have a strong influence on the direction of further commercial growth.
In order to continue providing an exemplary support and installation service to each of their clients, an ambitious 1st & 2nd Line Network & WiFi Engineer is now required to join the business.
The successful candidate will be involved in all technical and operational aspects of the business, helping to deliver reliable internet connectivity, networking and WiFi to temporary locations and then supporting the users once the solution is in place.
Reporting directly to and working with the business owner.
The ideal candidate will not need to meet every technical requirement of the role as all support and additional training required will be provided to the candidate that can demonstrate the tenacity and drive towards continuous professional development.
Key Responsibilities

• Preparing hardware for installation on client event sites or hire locations


• Helping architect the infrastructure required to run temporary wireless networks


• Installing temporary wireless networks and infrastructure including access points, routers, point to point systems, cabling, switching and satellite hardware


• Configuring and monitoring software to manage temporary wireless networks


• Supporting users during events or hire periods remotely but also based on-site during specific events


• Ensuring that installation guidelines, support processes and internal Health and Safety procedures are followed

Skills & Experiences

• Broad basic technical awareness covering routing, WAN, LAN, LTE, satellite, firewalls, switches, WiFi and


• network cabling


• Practical ability to physically install hardware indoors and outdoors with the appropriate tools


• Full clean driving licence


• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and find solutions to practical problem


• Able to work independently as required

Desirable Skills

• Relevant vendor specific qualifications


• Experience working at a technical level providing IT support


• Experience working at outdoor events behind the scenes


• Construction site experience
