1St And 2 Line It Support Engineer

Highly reputable and successful IT Support and services company seeking an enthusiastic IT Technician to join their friendly IT Support Helpdesk team and provide 1st and 2nd line support activities to their wide range of clients.

The ideal candidate will have previously diagnosed and fixed PC software and hardware (both remotely and in person), will have provided administration of systems such as Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory (providing end user training and assistance where required), have strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and have some exposure to supporting, maintaining and administering computer network infrastructure.

Technically, you must be knowledgeable on some of the following:

• MS Windows 10 & 11 and MacOS
• MS Office 365, Azure, SharePoint and Intune
• Active Directory
• MS Exchange 2016 / 2019
• Windows Server 2019 / 2022
• MS Azure / cloud platforms
• Network infrastructure and hardware
• Wireless access points
• Routers, switches and controllers
• LAN / WAN / VLANs
• VMWare
• Android and Apple iPhone

Full support and ongoing training will be given to those areas where you have limited or no prior experience.

The hands-on aspects of this varied role could include:

• Providing first and second line support to clients remotely and on-site when required
• Maintaining, monitoring and administering IT Infrastructure
• Performing disaster recovery operations
• Troubleshooting desktop, mobile, network and system problems

As first point of contact you must have excellent communication and troubleshooting skills to ensure you diagnose and resolve clients’ issues in timely and professional manner and you will also take on more complex cases alongside the 2nd line support functions.
