1st Line Support Technician - Burton-on-Trent

As our client continues to grow, they are seeking a dynamic and skilled 1st Line Support Technician to join their team.

Position Overview: As a 1st Line Support Technician, you will play a vital role in providing technical assistance and support to staff across various business departments.
Your primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to ensure seamless operations across the service desk.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting microsoft related technology inlcuding Windows 10/11 & Office 365.


• Respond to support requests via phone or email and escalate complex issues to the appropriate team members when necessary.


• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other peripherals.


• Assist in user account management, including password resets and access permissions.


• Document technical procedures and create knowledge base articles for end-user self-help.


• Collaborate with IT team members to implement and support IT projects and initiatives.

Key Skills required:

• Experience using a service desk ticketing system.


• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10, Windows Server) and Microsoft Office Suite.


• Familiarity with Active Directory, Exchange, and basic networking concepts.


• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.


• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with users at all levels.


• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.


• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) would be useful.

Salary:

For this position, my client are offering a salary of up to £24,000, plus excellent benefits.
