2nd Line IT Support Engineer
My client, an established Manged Service Provider based in Peterborough, are looking for a 2nd Line Engineer to join their rapidly growing team. As a 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing technical support and assistance to end-users within the organisation. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, responding to service requests, and ensuring a smooth and efficient IT environment.
Salary: Up to £40,000
Duties:
- Provide remote support to clients, troubleshooting software issues via telephone and email
- Checking and resolving backup issues
- Building and deploying workstations and servers
- Documenting procedures
- Email and data migrations
- Implementing VoIP services
- Escalating IT issues to the appropriate senior personnel when necessary.
- Undertaking small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the Service Desk Manager.
- Networking
- Hardware replacements
Key skills:
- Office 365
- Active Directory
- Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022
- Familiarity with networking concepts (VLANs, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
- Cloud based services
- Hyper-V
- Azure
- WatchGuard firewall
