Owing to business growth (6x in last year) and having been bootstrapped by the founders, the business is currently profitable and is looking to raise its first funding round within the coming months to accelerate its growth.
Your role at Klyk
We're looking for a 2nd Line IT Engineer with strong technical experience to join our team, take ownership of tickets and work closely with our clients to help them grow their business with the correct use of technology.
You’ll be working very closely with the IT Manager, the wider IT team and Zahid Khimji, our Cyber Security, Specialist & Co-Founder.
A 2nd Line IT Support Engineer is needed to join the IT team of our well established MSP based in Old Street, London. We provide a variety of IT & Cyber services to clients based both in the UK and internationally.
Please note we require 3 days in office for this role.
- Act as the first point of contact for IT support requests from our customers’ end-users
- Provide technical support for IT systems and applications
- Manage support tickets end-to-end, from intake to resolution via the ticketing system, email, video/phone call and RMM.
- Coordinate with colleagues during business hours and ensure tickets are fully updated and reassigned if required.
- Monitor and maintain IT systems to ensure optimal performance
- Deliver a high level of support by understanding the request and delivering a prompt resolution
- Deliver IT induction calls to our clients and onboard new users on their first day by setting up their hardware and software including device setup, email account and application access.
About you
- You have a minimum of 5 years experience ideally in a MSP environment as an IT engineer with strong technical skills across infrastructure and software.
- Be required to maintain user access and permissions for clients
- Scripting experience is desirable but not required
- You have strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- You are comfortable working independently but also as part of a team, you’re self-motivated and can work well in a fast-paced environment.
- You have strong problem-solving skills and are continuously looking for ways to improve the customer experience.
- You are organised and priority-driven, able to manage competing priorities.
Technical Skills required
- You have significant experience with using an RMM tool to find devices that are out of life, have high CPU usage, low hard drive space
- You know about MDM - Setup devices using Intune MDM ensuring security and compliance
- You have strong knowledge of supporting both Windows & Mac in business
- You have experience resolving issues across Windows & Mac and administering Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 environments
- You have configured systems and devices to adhere to IT Security standards such as Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001
- You have a firm understanding of Azure AD, Azure VM’s and VPN’s
- You have great knowledge of networking including DHCP, DNS,VLAN’s
- You have experience deploying and supporting tech and cyber tools such as email security, VPN, endpoint security & cloud backup
