2Nd Line Network Engineer

Attwood Perks is proud to be supporting a highly reputable local business in Ipswich who are looking to add a 2nd Line Network Engineer to their experienced team.

As 2nd Line Network Engineer in this innovative, customer-focused organisation, you must have solid exposure to supporting a Windows environment in a 2nd Line capacity coupled with strong hardware and IT networking skills.

Ideal Technical Skills:

• Supporting a Windows environment: MS Office, Internet Explorer, XP and Windows 7, 8, 10 desktops;
• Working with Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, switches and routers;
• Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP);
• VPN set-up and administration;
• Server maintenance and administration;
• Working with cloud technologies;
• Experience of troubleshooting computer software and hardware;
• Providing excellent customer service via email, phone and face to face;
• To action and suggest improvements for IT processes and procedures;
• Meeting SLA targets.

Essential experience Required:

• VPN set-up experience;
• Experience of virtualisation software, Hyper-V, VMWare;
• Active Directory, Group Policy;
• Router set-up and configuration;
• Networking protocols, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
