We have an opening for a 3D Model Designer in our rapidly expanding military scale model business. We are the largest provider of highly detailed, 3D printed models of this type in the UK.
Our business also has a number of large direct contracts with national and international customers, as well as the MOD.
This role is for 40 hours a week, working Monday – Friday. This is a full time, permanent position. This is an on site role, remote working is not an option.
The brief includes, but will not be limited to:
- Providing high quality, printable files each month in line with the company launch schedule.
- Fixing of any snags with designs in a timely manner.
- Occasional supporting of designed models for printability (training will be provided)
All candidates must provide a portfolio displaying previous work in this field. No formal qualifications are required, but the person in question must have a high proficiency level in one or more of the following software suites:
- ZBrush
- Blender
- Maya
Candidates must be able to sculpt organic (human) models to a very high standard. Understanding of clothing mechanics and the ability to create high quality, rigged models is essential.
All candidates who move to the second stage of interviews will be asked to provide a model based on a given brief, this model will remain the property of the prospective candidate unless they are successful, at which point it will become the property of Badger 3D Ltd.
The ability to provide high quality renders of models will be required.
