5 Axis CNC Milling Setter Operator

Location: Outskirts of Chelmsford (must be able to drive due to location)

Salary: 16 - 18ph (depending on experience)

Hours: Monday- Friday 8am - 4pm

Benefits: Overtime is available when required and paid at time and a third during the week and time and a half at weekends. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Adecco Chelmsford are currently recruiting for our highly successful and well - established client, due to recent investment in new machinery and an influx of new orders, we are looking for a CNC Milling setter/operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing team.

Note: For this role you MUST have experience setting 5 Axis mills.

Experience with Heidenhain controls desirable!

Responsibilities:

• Using various measuring equipment (Verniers / Micrometers / Height gauge / Shadowgraph etc.) to ensure all parts conform to customer standards.
• Setting a variety of mills, both 3 and 5 Axis.
• Setting and proving out new programs and providing feedback to the programmer.
• Deburring work in cycle where possible.
• Read and understand engineering drawings.
• Maintaining general cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with the production plan.

Desired skills:

• 5 years+ Milling experience.
• The ability to carry out first off, self-inspection and final inspection.
• Experience machining a wide range of materials.
• The ability to work and communicate within a team.
• Experience setting 5 Axis mills
• Experience with Heidenhain controls
