We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support worker to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers the unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of the individuals we support, enhancing their daily experiences and fostering independence through community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1-1 support for 12 hours a week across 3–4 days, offering personalised care and assistance.
- Engage creatively with the people we support, including activities like music, arts and crafts, community outings to the seaside, garden centres, scenic drives, and cinema trips.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with family members, ensuring regular and meaningful visits.
- Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate varying schedules for appointments and activities.
- Assist with personal care needs, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Collaborate effectively within a team setting to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with all team members and their families.
About You:
- A compassionate, caring individual with a deep sense of empathy, patience, and understanding.
- Must possess a valid driver's licence, as driving is essential for the role.
- Creativity and a genuine interest in music, arts, and crafts are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred support.
- Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
