About this Apprenticeship
Carston Chartered Accountants are a firm based near the centre of Cardiff with a diverse and knowledgeful staff base. You will work on a variety of different business types and perform an extensive range of work from VAT returns to Company Accounts. They are looking for someone who is a great communicator, has a real interest in a long-term career in accountancy and is comfortable with numbers. The right candidate can expect to be provided with a fully funded route to become a chartered accountant. In-house training and supervision will also be provided.

Pay:To be discussed in interview. Above Apprentice Wage

Duties
-Undertaking Audit Testing
-Assisting with Bookkeeping on Excel and various accounting software.
-Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns.
-Preparation of sole trader and company accounts.
-Assist other staff with ad-hoc duties.
-Communicating with clients directly via phone or email.
Essential Criteria
-English and Maths GCSE (A*-C/9-5)
-Minimum 6 months accounting or finance experience
-Computer and IT skills (Excel and Word)
Desirable Criteria
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Experience with accounting packages (Such as Xero, Quickbooks and Sage).
-Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
-Team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
-Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
